This was a little something that I found nestled on my computer from March 1, 2009:
The world says you need to need to be a “somebody.” And to be a “somebody,” you need to know somebody even more important than you and you need to reach for the stars to get ahead. With this expectation, most people will try to climb the social ladder and grasp aimlessly at the dark night sky for the rest of their lives.
Well, I already am somebody. I already know Somebody greater than I. And the stars? Well, I already have heaven within my fingertips. When the God of the universe comes down to you, calls you His child and promises you the inheritance of His kingdom, the world’s challenge suddenly loses its grand appeal.
When you ask God to act, He puts on a whole production; when you ask Him to start moving, He choreographs an entire number; when you ask Him to show up, you are suddenly aware that He was always present, not in the audience but cheering you on behind the curtain.
Diane, I seriously needed to hear this. Thanks so much for being the person you are and becoming the person God designed you to be. The Lord is using you :)
